Only thing left to do in the end is post a follow-up with pics.... ;)
Just a suggestion, since you will have the U-bolts out, it would be an opportune time to at least install the lower brackets for shock absorbers. Mor/Ryde and Mobile Outfitters (Lippert) have a complete kit or you can use Monroe shocks which is what we did. Monroe shocks are inexpensive but the upper and lower brackets are NLA. The Monroes come in different lengths so you can customize the installation easier. Upper brackets are easy to fabricate and the lowers are simply made by welding on the right type and length of tube to the ends of standard tie plates. I can post info. and pics of it when we're back home if you want.
Shocks are an excellent upgrade and I highly recommend them.
