JJRBUS: I saw that as well when i was researching the idea. When installed i've got at least 5in on the backside and about 2" on the sides, 2" on the bottom and 6in on the top. Not to mention the roof vent directly above the top (i sealed up the wall vent to prevent bugs from coming in). This is more airflow than my fridge in my home has and when i look up the manual for that i found the same clearance suggestions. My camper will never move as i have no way to haul it so that part is not a concern.
