I only use my awning once or twice a year for a couple of hours. I know others use theirs more, but think about where you will camp and what use you will have for the awning. Remember you generally will need to take it down when you are away from the RV and/or each evening and anytime wind is expected to gust. AT least that is what the wise camper here in NM's does. I saw a dust devil go through a RV park in Albuquerque one day and ruin 7-8 awnings before anyone could do anything about it even though they were in the RV.
