Trim work in RV any suggestions

OK, finish work...what's the secret. I'm running some wooden trim. I cut on the line and saw blade leaves splinters that fray and looks bad. I'm using a fine tooth saw blade. Some splinters still. If I cut maybe an 1/8 back and then file with fine tooth file takes me forever. I want good looking tight joints, what's the secret?

How do you guys do it?
  • Oh oh, going to Rockler? Bring a full wallet, you're going to find about 100 things you need for woodworking. ;)

I've never been to their demonstrations but I'd bet they are pretty good. Most Rockler stores have a clearance table. That's a good place to look for bargains. I bought the fence for my table saw off the clearance table and saved hundreds. It seems Rockler drops vendors like I. Marcos changed her shoes, there is a constant turnover of products and a lot of good ones can be had on sale or at clearance.
  • It's hard to get a sharp cut on moulding with a hand held circular saw. If it's in the budget, consider getting a power mitre saw, especially if you plan on more finish projects in the future.
