Not on a towable rv, but they really help on my motorhome. I had one side mounted turn signal directly over the rear wheel area. Once a car had moved past that signal, I had difficulty getting them to recognize when I wanted to change lanes.
I installed another side mounted turn signal over the front wheel area. It has made a difference, and I think it will help on your towable rv also.
