TV install

I have a similar setup and after looking at all of the expensive mounting options ended up with a pair of $5 locker organizers in the closet, leaves enough room for boots at the bottom, doesn't interfere with coats, and allows the TV to travel fairly well protected. TV is a 22" Insignia Roku which works either cable, over the air (including live TV pause with a USB stick!), or streams from the millenicom hotspot. Not bad for $120, lol. Even has 3 HDMI ports if the kids want to bring game machines or a DVD/Blu-Ray player.

I thought about that and the particle wall separating the fridge is really thin. I would need to be able to secure with at least 2 inch screws to hold the mount/TV assembly securely. So that option was abandoned.

Another option is to leave the stand on the TV, get your cables all installed and simply put the TV on the cabinet when you arrive. Just lay the TV on your bed while traveling. We did that for several years with our old trailer. A 24 inch TV is very small and light

MorRyde makes a base mount but it costs more than a TV. TV's usually come with a plastic stand but it may not be strong enough if fastened with screws. I made my own base mount out of aluminum and steel.

There is no problem wall mounting on a interior wall if you can find the studs. You might be able to see something from the outside refrigerator vent.

Thinking of installing on top of a 5-ft tall cabinet, hoping to get a swivel type. Would using reversed "under the cabinet" type mount work?


Too chicken to mount anything on the inside of the trailer walls because totally unfamiliar with materials etc.

Newer screens are very light.
I used a strip of plywood attached to the wall and a swiveling bracket bought from a local computer shop, on sale. I have a 32" screen and don't even have a strap on it for transport mode.
