I would say that you would not want much longer than that, the walls are thin. Find a stud and go for it. When I did this in a previous trailer, I found a tv mount that had 2 holes, one on top of each other so they went into the same stud. It was 2 pieces so it was easy to slide the tv off the piece on the wall. When travelling, I did not trust it so I would put the tv in the middle of the bed and hang it back on the bracket when we arrived to the campsite Good luck.
