I don't know about designs but that project is on the far back burner for my RV. You need a couple of ball bearing slides, preferably full extension, that are as long as the compartment is deep. Amazon Or less than that if that's what you desire. And I plan on using that hardwood plywood that the big box stores are selling now.
And then misc wood to mount the slides in the compartment and make the plywood shelf. You will loose some of the width and height of the compartment to fit the slides in. Keep in mind how heavy those totes will be in total when buying the slides. I'd use at least 1/2in plywood.You can use the cheaper stuff and just give it several coats of paint.
