Video: Upgrade Your RV Shower

Many who have installed an Oxygenics shower head in their RV rave about the difference in water pressure (especially while on the water pump), while at the same time using less water -- something especially important while boondocking, or with a limited grey water capacity. We decided to check out the difference for ourselves, and share the results in today's video on Grand Adventure:

And FYI we have no association whatsoever with Oxygenics -- we weren't provided a test unit, we went out and bought it ourselves. But we're now a huge fan.

  • we used one for several years but as I got older and older my skin got so it was taking a heck of a beating, so we went to a rain shower head. I'm not pinned to the shower wall any more.

We have the Oxygenics and it works best on city water hook up. On the pump, it's an improvement but if you have the power of city water it really shines. But then, most shower heads work fine on city water.
  • Hey FirstTracks, absolutely first rate video. Enjoyed it.
We, by the way, have an oxygenics shower head in the TC and for the most part, like it very much. The "perceived" water pressure increase is so much better than the original head.
However, having said that, that little shut-off button does nothing to prevent that dreaded blast of cold when turned back on, at least not on mine. Still love the shower head tho.
  • Oxygenics are popular RV shower heads - we put one one in our stick house because we like the height and Portland has some of the highest water rates in the country.

It does NOT change water pressure.

Pressure out of the pump to the water line? Of course it doesn't. The force with which water is ejected out of the shower head? Absolutely it does. It's really just a matter of semantics.

  • "Upgrade" is a matter of personal opinion. I installed an Oxygenics in our own trailer but my wife didn't care for it at all so I reinstalled the original, stock shower head and sold the Oxy.

Seriously, we were shocked at the difference. Glad we could help! And I emphasize here as I did in the video -- we had no financial incentive from anyone, nor did we owe anyone anything by making the vid. We bought one, we were amazed at the difference, and wanted to share.
