That's exactly why I only order from domestic suppliers. They get their led's from the same place in China but when there is a problem it is easy to resolve.
I recently ordered 70 leds to replace the G4 halogens in my motorhome (yes 70). The first ones didn't work since the pins were too short. No problem shipping them back and getting a quick refund. The second set worked great.
