Hi Sarah and welcome to the forums. :)
You have selected a fine brand of trailer which should serve you well for many years. We are on our 2nd Sunnybrook and have never had a single major problem with either one. We spend at least 4 months each year in ours and it has held up very well.
To remove the window valances, you will need a phillips head screwdriver with a long shank - preferably about 12 or more inches long. The valence is held on by two or more brackets on the top that are screwed onto the valence from underneath and attached to the wall. That is the reason for the long shank screwdriver so you can reach the screws.
Raise up the shades and then reach up with the long screwdriver up behind the shades and take out the two on the valence itself. Once you take out the two screws there, you need to remove the screws from the bottom two corners on the side lambriquins (or whatever they are called). The whole thing will then just lift off, including the shades. You can then remove the metal brackets from the wall. We have had two of ours off a couple of times to replace the strings on the Day/Night shades, which are also screwed to the top of the valence.
Not a hard job at all and will only take a few minutes if you have the proper length screwdriver.
Good luck with your project. :)
