What kind of external caulk do you use?

I've been trying to find an exterior caulk that doesnt crack and split. I tried some white silicone last year but around the outside refidgerator panel is all cracked/split again. Any ideas?
  • Dicor, Proflex and OSI Quad. All good and have used all of them. In a pinch/emergency I would opt for a butyl rubber caulk if out in the boonies and that was all that was available. I would put duct tape over a leaking seal (temporary) before I'd use silicone. Silicone will not stick to itself (if you see a gap with the above three or butyl you can go over it to seal it and it will stick) nor does it clean off without a lot of elbow grease to get the silicon (not just the caulk, but, the chemical silicone itself) off and if you don't, anything else you put on there won't adhere properly either.
  • Osi quad as recommended in my owners manual. You can get it at home depot or lowes.
