You tube Rv repair

Doing some Youtube surfing and came across this guys channel where he apparently owns a repair shop doing leak repairs and preventive measures. I like in this particular video he is building curbs around the ac units on the roof in addition to a roof repair. Seems to have a lot of good stuff on his channel.

    The best in the business.
  • The "about" page in the video directs you to RV Roof Install, Fort Oglethorpe GA

This has to be one of the BEST IDEAS to prevent water intrusion around A/C and vents I have ever seen !

Excellent idea. I'm surprised someone doesn't produce a molded, one piece curb.
  • My Toyota RV made by national has something I have not seen before. At the AC and vent openings between the roof framing and the roof material 3/4 inch plywood about the width of the AC gasket is installed. Looks factory, this makes a hump around the openings. Seems like a brilliant idea and might be able to be added?
  • I think if I bought a new unit to go full time with I would bring it straight to this guys shop to sort of bullet proof it for leaks.

But it did sort of have me thinking of building my own curbs with 5/4 pvc trim material and sealing it to the roof and then wrap and seal the pvc curb to roof with eternabond tape.

    It has me thinking....
