06 Dodge 3500 Dually 48RE died..
After towing my Carriage Cameo for 71,000 miles my 48RE transmission died. Lost 2nd gear. I just had the transmission rebuilt with a billet shaft, must stronger valve body and TC. Cost to rebuild $460...

I adjust the bands myself and am due again at 92k. I know I will have to throw money at it eventually but had hoped to get at least 125k. I'm only towing 10,000 pounds and only about 20% of total miles.
I'm at 94,000 on my 2005. The transmission is exactly like it was when it left the factory including fluid.
