06 Dodge 3500 Dually 48RE died..
After towing my Carriage Cameo for 71,000 miles my 48RE transmission died. Lost 2nd gear. I just had the transmission rebuilt with a billet shaft, must stronger valve body and TC. Cost to rebuild $460...

they are out there, over rated like aftermarket deeper transmission pans. built my tranny on the old 2005 ram, did not get caught up in the hype of a "billet flex plate" or the deep tranny pan. the old girl dyno'd at 500+hp and 1100ftlb torque
