100' sewer drain

Have any of you emptied your tanks successfully using 100' of 3" sewer hose? I need to empty tanks a couple of times and am thinking of using regular sewer hose. it's about 100' and flat all the way to the drain. What are my chances of no mess?

  • Thought about a pump but that's $200+ and only $60 for sewer hose. It will only be used a couple of times.
  • If it's a long term situation you might consider a maceration pump. They make pumps that mate directly to an RV sewer drain, and then I think they pump through a garden hose to the final destination.
  • Just like building a septic system - you need a certain amount of slope to the pipe or hose. Too steep and the water runs too fast leaving the solids behind. Not enough slope and nothing flows.
