I will also add that District 37 has a pie plate program now. If you're already an AMA member its only $10.00 to enter the race. You won't get points or a trophy (unless the club decides differently) but you get to compete in the correct skill, age, bike size class of your peers. Gives you a chance to "try before you buy". Then if you like it it's $25.00 online or $35.00 at the race for a district card and you're fully vested.
