With today's TTs, and hitches. A TT can tow as well as a 5er. My TT is 31' long, behind my 150. I have 0 sway. It follows along with no protests. I don't feel the big trucks pass any more than I did when I was driving a big truck, or bus.
And before others say "You have never towed a 5er" Yes I have. Or do you not consider a trailer truck a 5er.
Nope, driven both and they don't compare. If you ever pull a 5ver with your PU you will understand.
