15k ac unit recommendations

I did put a port and refilled it with the correct amount of 410 but didn't help.

Yes its ducted intake and exhaust so i had to order the exact replacement for it. which really stinks because its twice the price.

Is it a ducted unit? There is a baffle that can move to a 45* angle and it will allow cold air to go in to the return which make the compressor cycle.

2.5 years is definitely early for an ac to go. Mine was still working fine in the Florida heat after seven years when I sold the rig. I would have the ac checked by a competent, trusted RV tech. Repairs/recharging might be a lot cheaper than a new unit.

I agree with Don; if you have to replace it get one with a heat pump.

Could be low on charge due to a leak. The refrigerant cools the compressor/motor and if there's not enough it doesn't cool just a couple of ounces is enough. When the compressor gets hot there's an overload inside the compressor called a Klixon that opens up and shuts it down. I've had to fix two leaks in mine and weigh in a new charge both times after evacuating it. Don't just assume its toast and replace it, have it looked at, might be repairable for less than replacement.

Also check the condenser (outdoor) coil for dirt and/or bent fins, I've seen quite a few with severely bent fins from abuse or hauling **** on the roof. Bent fins won't allow sufficient air flow when its hot, resulting in same shut down.

What killed the old one? If it is low voltage then acquire an autoformer.

I'm partial to units that are capable of being used as heat pumps.
