They sell 17.5" rims with various bolt patterns, mostly 8 lug and set up for dual rear wheels.
If I was to design a trailer, I would use dual wheel type of rim and tire, so that the brake drums or disks are inside the center of the rim, thus less space is required for the tire and axle assembly in the floorplan.
I would also want disk brakes on any fifth wheel over about 14,000 GVWR.
