  • I sold my 2000 Jayco Designer last year for 4000.00.

I would check close on any Jayco from that era the slide floor from outside. The fabric they cover them with is stapled all over, no drop edge on the wall and the water runs under and wicks in rotting the slide floor from underneath. Had I known that it would have that issue I would have painted over the fabric with some type of elastometric paint.

Other than that it was a well built unit that I lived in for 4 years while working out of town and relocating.
  • thank you guys last time ive really priced was when we bought the 1994 low profile prowler used in 1996. not ready for retirement just yet but we are looking for something to "scotch " us for a few years until retirement I think I shall look further
  • I would say maybe 1995.00 I had a 30 ft. Tahoe by thor that had a similar floor plan I bought new in 97 for 19,995.00 and sold it to my brother in 2004 for 11,000.00. No it is not worth that price.
  • I'm guessing that the $19,995 was retail when new. I don't see another price but if that's what you're looking at then yes it is way too high.
  • I'd be leary of any older Jayco trailers. They had a bad problem with the felt used in the roof causing major rot and collapse issues.
