If the truck is rated 10,000 lbs. tow capacity, and is in good shape, plus low mileage, I'd not be afraid to tow right up to the limit.
I'd not do it, if towing in the mountains, or for full time towing. I think a healthy 6.0, with 4.10s, is a pretty capable machine.
Watch your axle weight, and tire maximum. I'd get the FW you want now, and enjoy it. When your ready for a new truck, I'd consider a 3500, and a diesel, if you feel the need.
