While there is already one post telling you how bad Forest River products are, you have to realize that there are about a dozen different FR brands, all built in different plants and for different price points. When we were looking for our new fiver, we seriously looked at Montana. But we also looked at a few used ones. That convinced us to run away from them. We settled on a Cedar Creek and in 9 years we have had zero issues except for normal wear and tear items. In fact we are now living full time in it and it is very comfortable. Do I wish I had a new/newer one? Sure, but this one is so comfortable I will be hard pressed to find anything better, except another FR product.
Well I settled on the Montana ,and with no regrets, or problems. Had some front graphic problems that were taken care, and the newer ones seem to be holding up much better. This is a never ending debate, with one brand being no better then the other ,and to claim so is ridiculous. I know several Montana owners that are quite happy with their product. So to discredit one over the other is just blowing smoke.
