2010 sandpiper towing

Looking at a 2010 345 sandpiper, unv is 10900lbs, 2000 lb hitch weight. .I have a 2009 Dodge 2500 2wd cummins, 6sp auto with does anyone see an issue towing with this truck? my owners manual says max trailer 13400 and max payload 2500.

You will likely be over you GVWR, but within axle and tire ratings. Any chance the 2500 has a camper Package, usually means one ton springs.

I carry a 11,000# 5er with a 2,000Pin on my 01, yes over GVWR, but well under axle and tire ratings. I don't need any suspension mods to support, I still haven't engaged the Factory Overloads.

Yous is a bit bigger, you will likely be also over GVWR, so it becomes your decision how to run.
  • you will probably be ok but you are maxing out your truck.I would strongly recommend air bags to add some stability and transfer some weight to front axle
