Looking at a 2010 345 sandpiper, unv is 10900lbs, 2000 lb hitch weight. .I have a 2009 Dodge 2500 2wd cummins, 6sp auto with does anyone see an issue towing with this truck? my owners manual says max trailer 13400 and max payload 2500.

you will probably be ok but you are maxing out your truck.I would strongly recommend air bags to add some stability and transfer some weight to front axle

Yes, a dry weight of 10900, but do you plan to tow it with nothing in it?? Gross is just over 14K so real world Pin could be upwards of 2800 Lbs so you need to look closely at your numbers.And to JrWhited: That's a first about AirBags transferring weight back to the Front axle. If the fifth wheel is set up properly (at least with a long bed) there should be no extra weight on the front axle, it's all carried on the rear axle. We carry 4K of pin and it's all on the rear duals, front axle is the same fifth wheel or not.

I disagree with your statement; at least in some installations. My last two B&Ws and a previous hitch, I can't recall the brand, both required that the hitch be installed a minimum of two inches forward of the rear axle to intentionally transfer some of the weight forward for better balance and steering. I do not know what hitch you use so it may be different.

In my case it's about 2% of the pin weight.
