2011 Flagstaff Falling apart, lol!

Our 2011 is having a mid life crisis, lol! Had to send it back to the factory due to floor issues in 2013. Now, the battery went out, the AC went out last week, and had to replace the converter at the same time. We still have issues with the floors...
  • I hope if ever I need advice, Newman Fulltimer will chime in with his cheerful most helpful comments.....

Wow...that seems a little harsh! OP was simply sharing his RV issues on a forum and doing so with a seemingly good attitude I might add. Not everything that breaks or wears out can be attributed to lack of maintenance.
  • if you would have checked batteries they would have got caught before they boiled out shorted and fried the converter without a converter or batt how do you know the ac is bad? Well, the batteries did not boil out or short out...I checked the voltage, called RV dealership and was told my battery needed to be replaced SOON. So I changed out batteries. My converter went out a couple months later...found out it was only putting out 9 volts...didn't fry. The dealership also told me my compressor was making noise and not cooling as it should, so, had it changed too...

Not real sure what type of maintenance you do on your converter, or how a compressor going out is a maintenance issue, but if you say so, I am guilty of lack of care? As far as I know, all batteries fail...just a matter of time...but thanks again!

  • WOW, Ihaven't done any maintenance ever on my converter. What do I need to do?

  • a converter has nothing to do with flagstaff same product is used by diff factoriee. sounds like the converter overcharged the batt and burned the batt which shorted and killed the converter the ac needs 12 volt and 110 to work.
