Keep a close eye on your windows.
I have a 2013 Attitude 28ALKG that I bought used last year. While washing the trailer this summer I found some water leaking in one of my bedroom windows. When i say leak... I mean streaming.
I pulled the window only to find it was never centered when originally installed. Simply scraping the sealant away exposed a small area of the cut out. Worse yet this poor installation did not have the window gasket against the wall of the trailer.
Checking the trailer this weekend after the big rain we had, I found two more windows leaking. Scraping the caulk off confirms my worries of poor window installation. Yet again, the window was not centered and part of the cut out is exposed.
Now I have to remove and reinstall all the windows to ensure they are sealed properly.
d'oh, i need to go check that now too. we have been getting dumped on here as well.
thanks for the information
That's something I came across before when I posted:
"When I washed the RV (first time I've done it myself) just the other day, I got up on the roof & used one of those brushes that runs water through the handle to the brush head to rinse while brushing away the grime. I found no leaks in the roof or the new fan, so that's a major bonus for the work done by my local dealership shop. I washed the sides with the brush, then put away the hose & brush. I checked inside to see if any windows had leaked. Found that at least one at the rear leaked a lot, and the window at the head of the front bed leaked a little to allow the sheets, pillow, and mattress to be just a bit damp. With the summer heat & the MaxxAir fan running, I'm not too worried about it being an immediate problem, but again, this is truly the bane of my experience with this Eclipse RV - water leak problems."
I think I may take it to the local dealership to get the warranty repairs approved before it's out of MFGR warranty. I don't think I should have to do the work myself on something they couldn't be bothered to do right in the first place.
