2014 Eclipse Stellar Wide Lite 27dblg - owner feed back

I just looked at a 2014 forest river Stealth and was very impressed with the quality. It would definitely be worth your time to take a look at one.

Thanks for the info. We are looking at the 27dblg so in this case it's actually more than the octane was. Not sure if that is a good thing or not... ;)

When we were looking at TT's, the similar Jayco TT was also slightly less than the Eclipse.

Having thought about it more, here are some things I would like changed about ours:

- Roof is very weak. It's really not recommended to get up there at all. You have to put your weight on the supporting members to avoid cracking sounds. I installed solar up there and it was a real pain to avoid damaging it.
- The stock vents did not have powered fans. I installed a fantastic fan in the bathroom. It wasn't difficult, but it probably would have cost them like $20 extra to install a fan version of the el-cheapo vents that come with RV's.
- The power lines for the brakes are not protected and rub against the frame where it leaves the underside and extends to the axle. This will eventually wear through, so I need to wrap them one of these days.
- The frame is not completely boxed in the tongue "A" area. The TH version is probably much stronger, but they were definitely cutting weight there.
- The storage door doesn't really fit that well and is difficult to lock.
- The water heater is not protected in any way in the storage area on the forward side. It is easy for stuff to migrate back there and bump against it.
- There was a tiny mistake in the dicor application on one of the roof seams and the first time it rained water came in. It was a pin-sized hole that was easy to fix but hard to find.
- The bumper sewer line storage caps came off at some point and are gone.

None of these issues bother me that much. I think Eclipse is more known for Toy Haulers so it's not necessarily apples to apples, but maybe it helps you a little. My next RV will probably be a higher quality brand, but we plan to use this for about 5 more years before we change it out for something new.

Thanks mic, but I can already tell you what is different. On the 2014's there are cabinets in the back of the rig which are the bottleneck - check this picture out and you can get a feel for it

I have an Octane ZX and there is lots of room around my Polaris Ranger 900XP. If you can give me your overall length, can measure my parking area tomorrow as we keep ours at our other home. I will look for some of my photos and post them here if I can. JH

we live in NorCal but are dealing with a SoCal dealer. Will check the forums per your advice however.

factory tour is tough as we live 7 hours away from it

They have a really good customer service department and they do customization and repairs at the factory. I would strongly recommend you call the factory and arrange a tour and decide for yourself (ask them when they are planning a 27 dblg run)
