We appreciate all the feedback. Definitely some good info provided for us to ponder. As far as 'my definitions' of a 3-season or 4-season, I don't have one. Ha! Jayco was the first we looked at, and the salesman just mentioned it was a '4-season'. When we went to the other dealership and saw the Columbus, we told the salesman that we were going to live in it, and he said, "Oh well, this isn't a 4-season. Where do you plan on staying in it? You probably want to get a 4-season?" And that was what made us start investigating the importance of 4-season and what it exactly means. As far as us not having a truck just yet, we were told by Jayco dealer that we could buy the RV from them and leave the RV on their lot for 2 weeks while we went and bought a truck...or they would deliver the RV to our home for about $160. We want to get the truck, though, and go pick up our RV ourselves because they said that they would take us over to the church parking lot next door and let us practice hitching/unhitching and backing-up/parking. (This was the Jayco dealer). We know we would rather do business at the Jayco dealership. The salesman there was so personable, knowledgeable, and professional. It's a smaller family-owned place, and it was just welcoming overall there. The Columbus dealership was large, and the salesman wasn't exactly very helpful...he was nice enough, but we just needed more from him. The 5th wheels that we really liked were priced at 'Show Pricing' for the month of February. These are $70K+ RVs priced as low as $49K so we are feeling a bit rushed...and we don't want to make a big decision feeling rushed, BUT we would love to be able to save thousands of dollars too! Oh, and as far as us living in a RV with our 2 young boys, we couldn't be more excited about it! Yes, we know it's not going to be all rainbows and butterflies...it's going to be hard and challenging in a lot of ways, but we are ready for it and are okay with things not being 'easy' all the time. Now...I could not, would not live in a RV with a baby or toddler. Major props to those who do that. And no one said we were going to do it forever. (I get asked that a lot..."How long do we plan to live in a RV?"? My answer is, "Until we don't want to do it anymore." :-)
