2014 Ram 2500 to tall for 5th wheel

My 2014 Ram 2500 seems to be to tall to be able to tow my 5th level or even close to level. Yes the axles are already flipped and no there is no lift on my truck. Its stock.

5th: 2004 Keystone Sprinter.

If I raise the pin box then I will only have around 1" of clearance.

I have read the following options and hope someone has some advice.

Option:
- Taller Springs
- New subframe
- Taller Shackles
- Taller Tires

I believe I need to raise the 5th a min of 4". I don't like to camp in paved campgrounds and like to get off the beaten path. Any help will be appreciated.

    How out of level is it? Is it within range for the refrigerator to work properly (contact the mfg), if so how does it tow? All is good? Don't worry about it. I too had this concern with my Dodge, and at the end of it, I determined it truly wasn't a concern.

    I think the problem comes in when the older fw is towed with a newer truck.(most of the time)

    I have a 2013 Ram MegaCab with a Diesel. No problem pulling my 2014 Cedarcreek38CK. No squat, no problem. Pin weight I think around 2700.

    I'm surprised you'd have to go to that trouble Idaho white. I finally picked up my 2002 Cougar 5th Wheel last night and it has the axles flipped and I had about 10" of clearance over the bed. Then again I think it has an extended pin box.

    On Edit: Only site I have ever seen that endorses using blocks to raise or lower a trailer axle! I believe that both Dexter and Al-Co advise against using them on trailer axles.

    That's a funny website...I did that to my toy hauler 2 yrs ago by making my own blocks and everyone told me how dangerous that would be...2 yrs later with no issues and now a company doing the same thing...funny.

    Also the trailer is a 2004 Keystone Sprinter 243 (total length is 26'). Its a relatively small 5th. GVW is around 8600.

    Sorry krazymatt, I thought I did respond. I am new to these forums. I have set the trailer with the full weight. The truck did squat about 2". When I set the 5th, my truck was perfectly level. So basically it squatted enough to take out the 2-2.5" rack out. Not near enough clearance or height.

    Subframe tube and 2" spring spacer is the route I am pursue'ing. To bad I cant post a before and after pic.
