It seems that these threads just go on and on. Maybe no fw owners have complained about this to the vehicle manufactures. I guess they feel that taller is better. I buy a mid profile fw and then have to raise it 4 inches. Crazy. If your buying used (older model) fw to go on a new truck, you will probably have to do some modifications.
