looking at this online at a local dealer had a quick question about the water heater they have listed 6 gal 17.8 Gal/Hr. Quick Recovery Water Heater seems they use them in all there campers anyone ever run out of hot water while taking a shower?? looked through the archives on here didn't really find anything on this type of w/h.. I'm hoping to get a great deal this time of year in north east PA Scott

2015 Solitude, same water heater, has never been a problem with us!

Mine is a 6 gal 18gal hr recovery and the only thing we have to do is wait 5-10 minutes between showers

UMMMMMM....:h No you do not Coach-man you have a 12 gal water heater in the Solitude like every other Bigger 5th.. Not a 6 gal BIG Difference,I think I know your GD better than you do Coach-man, it is rare to run out of hot water with back to back showers with a 12 gal tank but a 6 gal like was said before yes you can take 2 quick showers back to back or wait about 10-15 min between longer ones and Do Not wash dishes before taking showers Coach-man wrote:2015 Solitude, same water heater, has never been a problem with us!

While a 6 may require waiting.Not a deal breaker but it is a factor to consider

We have the 2014 337RLS. At 42psi we can't take showers like we do at home but we have never had problems with hot water - can't wash dishes and while taking a shower but we keep both electric and propane on and the water heats very fast.

Wife hasn't run us out of HW yet, and she has tried. I have a 2015 Reflection 337rls.

It also depends on what temp your hot water is. Our 6 gal QR is really hot. I don't need much hot water to have a warm shower. It's factory set, but I'm guessing not all WH are exactly the same.

And here is the right answer for those running out of hot water during a show! Get a water saver shower head like Oxygenics Body Spa or Ecocamel JetStorm.

We have the 6 gal water heater in our 27RL. We have never had a problem with back to back showers and that includes the wife washing and rinsing her hair. The shower head seems to be very conservative as well.

Also depends on the shower head. If it's something like the Oxygenics that is 2.5 gallon a minute, you can have long or bac to back showers.

As was stated, the Atwood 6 gallon seems to be doing well with a faster recovery rate.

We have a 2016 337 RLS with the same water heater. No issues at all-we take back-to-back showers and do not run out of hot water.
