Really not seeing many options other than the Towmax ST tires that came on the rig. Talking dual 7k axles on a 5er TH with gvwr of 15.5k.
Throw those Towmax tires away or any tire that came with your RV originally. Tires that come with new RV trailers/5th. wheels are the cheapest tire the mfg. can buy to put on your new rig. American profit and greed at work!!
I made putting on Good Year LT 614 "G" rated tires a condition of my buying my new 5th. wheel. The dealer had my choice of tire put on at the factory:):) Just what works for me! Stay with LT tires.
Ditto on everything he said. The only set of Tow Max tires I had tore up our old Cyclone pretty bad. When I bought the Vengeance, a full set of GoodYear G614 235-85-16s went on as part of the deal. They are pricy but they are great. I'm running 100 psi. If money is a big factor, I'd get the Sailuns and be totally happy with them.
The only thing I use the Towmax tires on is my landscape trailers. I try to find them on craigslist when people are getting them off their camper. If a Towmax blows on my landscape trailers, it really won't hurt much except my time of changing out a tire.
Important note: do you know what psi capacity your rims have?
