Well, this is the best advice on this exact subject someone gave me...
You will never regret buying a 2 wheel drive 3500 until you are stuck and need to be towed or pulled out of a situation.
There are pros and cons either way so it is a personal choice. Have to ask yourself what are the situations where you might need it, sand, wet grass, mud etc.
4 wheel drives have a better resale value and for some reason everyone wants them. If its a choice between the 2, take the 4x4.
