If you NEVER drive or tow off level ground, on mud, on wet grass, on loose sand, etc... then 2WD is all you need. But that one time when you do one of the above and get stuck with your $$$$ rig not being able to move or God forbid get out of a dangerous spot because you did spend the extra $ for 4WD you will wish you had. Happened the first year we had our rig. RV park had watered the grass in the park prior to our arrival. On level ground mind ya we couldn't move, tires just slipped. Shifted into 4WD and no more issues.
