I have used the low range to back up on some high blocks to get the rv level with ease.. Without 4wd it would be very stressful on the trans.
I had friends with exploring the painted canyons near Palm Springs no cell service. Was driving along a gravel road then it it suddenly turned to loose sand. It started digging in so I stopped and put it in 4 low and drove out easily. Without 4wd it would been a long walk!
