I had a 4WD truck once but discovered it was not really needed. I've had the current 2WD truck for about 12 years and never have come across the need for 4WD. But I don't drive it in the winter, I don't boondock on gravel/dirt roads, I don't drive in sand. I also don't care for the extra weight and complexity. JMO of course.
