But basically all you can run!
Buying new get 50 amp service. - Mandalay_ParrExplorerI can run both of mine on 30. They draw about 27-28 total. One is a 15 and the other 13.5.
- Colo_NativeExplorerI had a MH with a energy management system and it would run both a/c's
- LantleyNomadShort answer no both units cannot be run on 30 amps. However their are mods and ways to potentially run both units.
In the long run if you have 2 AC units you really need 50 amp service - What is model you are looking at? Heartlands site has many with 50 amp.
- MFLNomad IINot from personal experience, but have heard of others running two on 30 amp. I'm sure you'll get varying opinions/experiences, but if nothing else with big draw is being used, it is possible, as long as they don't start at the same moment. Everything switched to propane, no microwave use.
Jerry - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIDual A/C SHOULD come with 50A system
30A is OK for ONE 15K A/C unit provided you don't run water heater on electric or microwave when A/C is on etc.
30A service......1 hot leg with 3600W available
50A service.......2 hot legs each with 6000W availability total of 12,000W
So with 50A rig and using 30A service.....1 A/C at time and watch/manage the rest of AC components - Depends!
Some rigs come with power management that runs one air unit then switches to the other. - Evans___Lana_WaExplorerNo it will not.
