30' is 4' shorter than a 34', which is 4' shorter than a 38' and so on. If you keep adding length then you keep subtracting your choice for camp sites. If you generally stay in RV parks then you probably never have an issue. Forest Service type or even State parks will be tougher the longer you go at least out here on the west side of things.
As far as towing out on the road. My guess is you won't notice any difference.
