3rd A/C Unit

How much would it cost to repair or replace the one (or two) obviously defective AC units you already own in that thar arrR. Vee?

yes two a/c's and not cool enough?? Wow...

As Sea Six referred to..something ain't right with the two you have. Two units should have kept you cool even in the direct sun at the beach. You should have them checked out before you do anything else.

Are the two units you have ducted to each other? I have 3 a/c's on my Voltage and the middle (main) unit is fully ducted (there is no down vent) and the taping job where it joined the ducts was terrible. You might want to check your ducts for proper taping to make sure the cold air is going where it's supposed to go.

I have had it checked and they ssay they are normal. The big one is ducted, but the small one is just for the master bedroom. I don't know what vto do.

40' 5vr......I'd change out bedroom one to a 15K

Two a/c's are not enough for large 5th wheels in the summer heat (95 plus degrees)I also had mobile tech come and check the main a/c, he said it worked like it should. I installed a 3rd a/c in the rear vent of my 38ft fifth wheel. It did take some time pulling wires using a fish tape. But well worth the time and effort. I installed an a/c that was not ducted and find that it works much better. All the air goes dumps in the room with the a/c. On 50amp I can run all three. On 30amp I can run two, we always pick the 3rd one that dumps in the living area( I have a rear living plan). Good luck, you won't be disappointed with a 3rd air.

You might want to look into one of these portable air conditioners to supplement what you have. 40' trailer sure is big...

Kids went to the VA beach last year with the inlaws who was setups at an electric site on the beach. They had two or three tents setup close by and one of them had something like this google photo using a portable house window unit and some duck tape..



We have done something similar on an extended stay in the woods with our POPUP. Have setup a 8K BTU window unit in our unused tent bed side sticking out the window flap all tapped up with ducj tape. We could run this size with the 2KW Generator when allowed to run the generators there.

A 3rd A/C is not as crazy as it sounds. I have heard of others that camp in extreme heat adding a 3rd unit. I believe you can order an Open Range 5'er with 3 units from the factory.
I have a 39' fiver and 2 units have been fine. Maybe I just haven't been to a hot enough place yet?!
