Hello,We will be picking up our new Grand Design Reflection 27RL next week. My current 5th wheel is only 30 amp and the new one is 50 amp. Obliviously the 50 amp cord is much bigger and heavier. I am looking for suggestions on how to store the cord while protecting it from damage and keeping it clean.Thank you in advance for your suggestionsDave

Hi,I use a bucket to hold my shore power cord(s).

We just coil ours up, bought a couple of the heavier Velcro straps at Home Depot, and put them on the cord, coil it up wiping it off as I go, secure the Velcro straps, and store in the front storage bay. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!

I roll my up on a inspensive Harbor Frieght Air hose real , works very well. The real is mounted on a piece od 3/4 plywood that is screwball to the storage bay floor.Dan

I coil up my 30A in a 5 gallon bucket. Not sure if that will work for a 50!

I find it easy to coil up my 50 amp cord in a milk crate. Stores easily in my pass through. I then store my adapters in the center of the coil.

I was fortunate to have a nephew that works for an electrical company but some i split with a buddy. My local Home Depot carries it. You also might check Amazon

Understand. Thanks. I just do not recall seeing one like you have. I actually like it better as it would be easy to connect two together.since he male and female ends will mate.

Some have a twist lock and some have what I have shown. Either way just buy the proper ends.

Thanks. What you posted looks like an extension cord to me. My RV has a 50 amp twist type locking connector.

Well I already had the 3 gal bucket, and in addition my dog bones drop right down the center of the coil.

Have another I can buy from you.....;-)

I've actually been thinking of going to a plastic crate (not tub) just so the height isn't as tall.

Going to SO is one of the best mods I've spent money on.

I've got about 37' of SO 50 amp cord in a 5 gallon bucket only cuz it was handy and didn't feel like buying a 3 gallon. I use the extra room to keep the dog bone and another adapter
