I agree with these 2... BUT you will still need to toss/store/coil the cable once you need to pack up for the trip.. that wire will make it a ton easier.... Like I stated, a simple 5 gallon bucket would work nicely for next to nothing $$

AND you can toss it in the truck, the basement storage, pretty much anywhere and only use about 13" diameter of footprint..

Also a believer in 6/4 SOO cable. Fits nicely in a milk crate with the dog bone and a few other electrical hookup items

Our 2017 Bighorn has a power reel under the J-panel at the left rear corner. Works great. Our little 225MK Laredo has this heavy clumsy detachable 50 amp cable. On the trip to Arizona I was putting it in the back seat of the TV, as the storage available in the trailer is limited. Got to work on some sort of a plan. Chris

My SOO 40’ 6/4 cable coils nicely into a 3 gal bucket.

This is the answer. I switched to 6/4 SOOW cord this year and the difference is night and day. This is easily in the top 3 best things I have ever bought for the trailer.

Coiled in a square laundry basket. Works ok for me.

My new Cedar Creek came with a mounted reel right next to the driver side baggage door.....I promptly removed it - I wanted more space to get things in and out of the basement.

It sits in my garage now.

I put all my power cords on top of a heavy duty storage bin.
