I see quite a few pickups with the louvered tailgates and the notch that lets the kingpin through. Do these improve gas mileage when you aren't towing?
Got one. Doesn't mean that you can't hit it backing in. Been there. Hit that. Open the tailgate always unless it is very obvious that there is no need. Long bed with a fuel tank/storage box fwd means the bottom of the cutout is not visible therefore the pin is not always visible as it passes over the tailgate...or not.
