Hmmm... 3000lbs won't do it for us if we tow a Jeep. The dry weight of most Jeeps is at least that much.
I could live with a $67 ticket if that's about as bad as they get. I wonder what other states charge if caught.
As for brakes - I will only tow safely. This is the kind of legislation that should be out there - not telling us we can't tow doubles period, but telling people that they better do it safely. My truck will be a Class 8 HDT, my trailer will have brakes and if double towed there will be a brake actuator system on the Jeep. I don't want to risk my life or anyone else's!
