We just bought a Crossroads Rezerve 31bh. It is 35 ft. long, weighs under 9000 lbs, and has an outside kitchen. The bunkhouse sleeps 4 and the whole camper sleeps 10. It has a great layout that is perfect for our family.

Both easily towable with a 250/2500 class truck. A SRW 350/3500 would be even better. Only real downside is the cargo capacity which, traveling with 4 females, just =maybe= could be an issue. :B

FWIW, I think you're being very smart in settling on the FW =before= buying the truck. I sure wish I had...

Northwoods the makers of Arctic fox have one under the fox mountain line 335bhs just under 36ft Looked at them earlier this year nice unit I thought. It has three beds in the bunk an overhead, the fold out and a trundle

After looking over many suggestions, we may be able to cope with a 40 footer but I don't want to go over that length.

We're in the same boat.Love the extra living room space and couch in the mid bunks but if we go the fifth wheel route it's gotta be a SRW truck and I know Ill pushing the payload numbers...

But Jayco has a new mid bunk floor plan that would be absolutely perfect and has a factory hitch I could use to double tow our little boat. I really dont want a DRW though.

Open range has a BH in the Light series too! It is just under 10K# and the best part is it has a factory gooseneck and you don't have to put a giant hitch in the bed of the truck It is a true short bed towable 5er with a huge offset for the hitch
