The new truck is Fifth Wheel Prep'. Is that what you call "puck system"?
And the new hitch I got is made for Ford Fifth Wheel Prep Only.
On the 2008 Truck and hitch, I installed brackets to the frame and drilled holes in the bed. Very same kind of idea to these new ones.
I dropped in a pin, turned it a 1/4 turn and then installed the rails for the hitch to hook to.
Thats why the old hitch won't work, they don't make a frame bracket kit for these newer trucks. Ford,Chevy, or Dodge.
I'm sure they could have came up with something but it's easyier to just make everybody buy a complete new hitch.
