5th wheel landing gear help!

Question

I need help finding an Atwood landing leg for my 2001 Alpenlite. The part number is 71480. I have checked everywhere that I can think of without any luck. I am wondering if maybe I might find one in a RV salvage yard? These must be on lots of rigs. The worm gear is stripped and that part is not replaceable.

Try calling Etrailer and see what they have to say. Might be they could cross it to an updated part number. Good luck.

I would call etrailer, looking at their page they show legs that are compatible with Atwood.

If they use a standard mount replacing both legs and the motor may be the only other option.

I got one from Etrailer a few years ago. Get all of your measurements before you call, they will need them. I hope it's the door side one, much easier to replace.
