5th wheel options for TV

Chevy Silverado 2500HD, 6.0L. 9900 lb tow max, 2700 lb capacity. Don't know about hitch. I am guessing max dry should be no more than 8000 lbs & GVWR 10,000 lbs. truck weighs about 6000 lbs I think.

Jayco Eagle HT line? Any others? Thanks.

My 1500 Series KZ would work with those numbers. Pack light and you would be fine.

I bought a 200# Superglide hitch to only find out later I didn't need it with this combo. I can shave off 100# on hitch weight if needed.

If you're guessing at 10K gross that will put the pin in the 2K area. Factor in approx 100 to 150 Lbs for a hitch, doesn't leave much left for passengers, cargo, and full tank of Gas.
Michelle is right. I would be looking for a lightweight 5ver for that truck-under 9K gross. If you want to go heavier move up to the Chevy 3500 Duramax. Some people pull with SRW I like my dually. Good luck.

  • That 9, 900 lb max tow seems low for a 2500HD. Montana High Country 5ers have a dry weight under 10,000lbs. (Helium Technology).
