5th wheel popped out of hitch

I have the same hitch and mine don't have any washers on the handle. Looked at the parts book and no washers shown.

Do you think those washers were preventing you from getting a complete over center on the latch?

There are 4 washers on the latch lock but they are just for alignment of the lock.

Seems like a common Reese problem!!!!!!

If one took the time to compile the numbers from this site, Reese would come out of top for dropped 5th wheels.

Guess people that do not know how to hitch then to by Reese hitches, OR REESE HAS A PROBLEM!

What is the specific model Reese hitch you have? And how old?

Is this a new tow vehicle, or new to you? Is the hitch new or used? Was it in the tow vehicle when you bought it, if you bought the TV used?
