Podie: Great to hear your getting a 5er. Like several have posted here, you do not want too much trailer for your truck. A 12.000# trailer will have a little over a ton of pin weight. You need to look a the tire max ratings and the rear axle limits in addition to max gross combination weight. For your 3/4 ton truck you will want to keep the trailer weight down below those numbers no matter what the dealer or other posters tell you. It will pull it and maybe won't blow your tires out but the brakes may not be enough to stop you in the distance needed. Just my 2 cents. Dave & Jenney You can never have too much truck---> :)
