The thousand dollar difference and the weight of it. I know price isn't a good reason, specially when we have this much invested, but if it's not going to hurt the trailer to use the adapter and I can save money, I thought it would be a good option.
I appreciate all this feedback, it helps this decision, even if Jayco says it's safe I might still just spend the extra money for the companion slider.
